River Stone Psychotherapy is moving
Relocating to Center Wellington, Ontario Summer 2026
River Stone Psychotherapy is excited to announce its upcoming relocation from Fort St. John, BC, to Elora, Ontario during the summer of 2026. In this new chapter, I will continue to provide support focused on child mental health, serving children, youth, and their families in the Centre Wellington area, including Fergus.
As I prepare for this transition, I want to inform you that I will not be accepting new psychotherapy clients in Fort St. John. However, I will still offer virtual clinical supervision across British Columbia.
I am looking forward to establishing connections in Ontario. I am immensely grateful to my Fort St. John clients and community. It has been an honor to support so many families over the last six years in the Peace Region, and I am eager to bring that same level of care and dedication to the families of Centre Wellington.

Julia Hintermeister is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Approved Clinical Supervisor with the BCACC. In addition she has recently become a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO in Ontario.
With 15 years of experience, Julia is committed to supporting children, youth, and families. As an empathetic clinician, she utilizes a variety of child-friendly interventions to facilitate processing and healing. Julia is a trauma-informed therapist trained in several approaches, including Solution-focused therapy, Art Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. River Stone Psychotherapy now operates within the treaty lands and traditional territory of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples.
